Cosmos Ch.2 — The Passion of Catgod

Starred Aliens hit harder than Ch.1 — 150–300% magnification across the chapter. Ch.2-specific guidance is per-stage; this baseline applies everywhere.

The middle chapter, where the franchise mascot finally appears as an antagonist. Cat God descends from his usual cameo into a 1.5M-HP Omni Strike boss at the chapter's end — the first time most players face him as a threat rather than a miracle button. The chapter's title invokes religious imagery deliberately: Cat God has fallen, and the cats are the agents of judgment.

Mechanically, Ch.2 is a second loop of Ch.1's stage list with 150–300% magnifications stacked on top. Enemies that felt manageable before become legitimate threats; restriction stages multiply; the community catchphrase becomes 'your lineup either works or you reroll.' Stage 2-47 Black Hole codifies the reputation — same restrictions as Ch.1's 1-47, but the magnifications turn it into a burst-window-or-loss puzzle.

The Mystery Mask treasure (2-43 / 2-45 / 2-47) becomes mandatory. Without it Cat God spawns at full HP in the Big Bang finale and is effectively un-killable for most lineups. The treasure run is its own multi-attempt sitting — players typically batch the three stages together rather than spreading them across sessions.
