Cosmos Ch.3 — Even Stars Burn Out

Extreme strength magnifications (some up to 2500%) — every fight in Ch.3 punishes under-leveled lineups. Treasure-complete Ch.1 and Ch.2 before attempting.

The end-game gauntlet. Magnifications climb to 2500% on the most punishing stages, and the chapter introduces enemies (Mesocosmocyclone, Super Cosmic Cyclones) whose stat blocks read like end-game raid bosses. Mesocosmocyclone debuts in 3-1 with a 5-frame attack rate and a forward Warp — there is no soft introduction to Ch.3.

Treasure-complete Ch.1 and Ch.2 is not a suggestion. Even talented Ubers fold on under-buffed lineups; the chapter assumes you've maxed every treasure cluster from the previous two chapters before the first attempt. Mystery Mask superior (43 / 45 / 47) is again essential for the finale, and the same lesson from Ch.2 applies harder: stalling fails, burst windows or you lose.

Filibuster Invasion (3-IN) sits outside the normal cluster structure — a one-off bonus stage that rewards the Filibuster Special Cat on completion. The drop is one of the best non-Uber Anti-Alien units in the game, so most players treat 3-IN as a priority run regardless of where they are in the main chapter.

Clearing Ch.3 is treated as a roster milestone in the community. Players who get through it have a fully developed Anti-Alien backbone, deep treasure investment across all three chapters, and key Ubers at True Form or Ultra Form levels.
