2-48 THE BIG BANG
2-48 The Big Bang is the 48th stage of Cosmos Ch.2 — The Passion of Catgod. Previous stage: 2-47 Black Hole.
Final boss of CotC Ch.2 ONLY (Traitless, no longer Floating). 1.5M HP, 300-range Omni Strike (-1000~1000), Multi-Hit ending in a 66k lightning strike. First 2 hits have 100% KB + Slow. Anti-Traitless + Slow Immunity is the standard kit; clearing him unlocks Cat God the Great.
Kid Tappa and Ribbo carry Barriers (up to 65,000 HP) — your hits are absorbed until it's broken.
Ribbo's 65,000 Barrier needs a guaranteed 100% Barrier Breaker — chance-based units stall and waste your damage window.
Cat God is Traitless. Anti-Traitless units take less damage and deal more.
Cat God reaches 300 range. Units that out-range it can chip safely without taking hits.
Cat God has a deep HP pool (1,499,999+ even before stage magnification). Heavy single-target burst shortens the fight.
CotC Ch.2 final boss. Cat God (Traitless, 1.5M HP, Omni Strike) fires Multi-Hit ending in a 65k lightning strike with 100% KB + Slow on the first two hits. Anti-Traitless + Slow Immunity + Warp Immunity required. Mystery Mask treasures (43/45/47) MUST be collected to keep him at 100%.
The 'spirit-broken Cat God' chapter. Cat God now has a 1000-range Omni Strike that knocks back twice and obliterates everything on the third hit — players describe it as 'the moment you finally appreciate Manic Mohawk'. Survive Meatshields are the consensus pick because their first two hits do under 2k damage combined, letting them live into ability-proc range. Kid Tappa walls and Ribbo warps make traditional DPS stacking painful. Recommended loadout: Survive Meatshields (Eraser, Manic Lion) to absorb the Omni Strike → A. Bahamut for between-attack burst → Catornado or Ramen Cat for Wave Attack to hit Ribbo's shield from behind your front line → Anti-Alien Uber backline (Bazibastra / Lumina if you have her, otherwise Soap Cat). The Mystery Mask treasure here is again essential — without it Cat God's HP is untouchable. Common failure: not killing Ribbo before the warp window strips your DPS off the field.
