CRAZED TANK CAT

Absolute Defense is the 1st stage of The Crazed Tank. Next stage: Vulcanizer.

HOW TO BEAT ABSOLUTE DEFENSE

Crazed Tank Cat has 3,200,000 HP, hits for 30,240 in an area, reaches 390, and walks out the moment you touch the 400,000 HP base. On his own he's slow, at speed 2, and not that dangerous. What loses this stage is his escort: Gories, Owlbrows and Duches, three of each, returning every 100 seconds for the whole fight. The no-gacha answer is money first, then five meatshields on repeat, with two units that outrange him doing the damage. It takes a while.

The lineup that does it

Five meatshields: Eraser Cat, Macho Cat, Samba Cat, Brave Cat and the Crazed Macho Cat you won on the Crazed Cat stage. Then Dragon Cat and Bahamut for damage. Both reach further than his 390 (Dragon 400, Bahamut 450), so they can hit him from behind the wall. Eraser Cat, Wall Cat's True Form at around 20+10, is the one unit this plan really needs. Crazed Tank still one-shots it, but it holds against the Duches and Owlbrows, and those are what break the line. Two slots are left free: fill them with more cheap meatshields, or a unit that can outrange him.

Items, and why Valkyrie is optional

Bring Sniper the Cat to keep knocking him back, and Cat CPU so you don't have to press five meatshield buttons by hand for ten minutes. The wiki calls Rich Cat and Sniper close to mandatory. This clear used Sniper, Cat CPU and Speed Up and built its money on the early waves, so Rich Cat helps but isn't required. Speed Up is optional, and you can switch it off when things get tense. If you use Cat CPU, leave Valkyrie at home: once she comes off cooldown, the CPU stops buying meatshields and saves up for her, and that's how runs collapse. If you're playing by hand, she's fine.

Before the base: bank everything

Don't touch the base yet. Send meatshields early for the Gories, then save for a Bahamut to clear them, and spend the spare cash on the worker. The Owlbrows come next, at about 1:07, and they drop a lot of money when they die. Duches follow at about 1:41 and are the real danger: when one reaches Bahamut's hitbox, it knocks him back. Wall them early. Once the first Duches are dead and the wallet is full, turn on Cat CPU and hit the base.

He arrives, with company

One hit on the base brings out Crazed Tank Cat with the next wave behind him. With enough meatshields, Bahamut and the Dragons clear his escort before they turn to him. On his own he isn't the threat. The threat is a Duche or an Owlbrow getting into your backline while he pushes. A Bahamut will die now and then. That's expected. Get another out before the last one goes.

The long hold

Now it's a waiting game: meatshields on repeat, Dragons and Bahamut chipping from out of his range, every wave cleared as it arrives. It takes a long time and it's fairly safe, as long as the wall never runs out. When Ms. Sign's 'Too slow!' sign shows up, ignore it. When he finally falls, push the base with everything. It's not a no-continue stage, so if both Bahamuts are down and he's about to reach your base, force-close the game and retry rather than spending items on a lost run.

The shortcut, if you have it

A unit that outranges him by a lot can hit the base while your wall keeps him busy. Megaphrodite (Aphrodite's Ultra Form) is the famous example: plenty of players finished the stage before Crazed Tank ever died. Other long-range units help the same way. Without one, the plan above is the slow, reliable way.

THE SHORT VERSIONBank money through the first Gories, Owlbrows and Duches, then hit the base with Cat CPU on: five cheap meatshields on repeat with Eraser Cat in front, Dragons and Bahamut outranging his 390, and no Valkyrie if the CPU is playing. Slow and safe. Force-close and retry rather than lose.

GENERAL STRATEGY

The general approach, from the wiki's strategy notes. The guide above walks through one full clear.

Crazed Tank Cat has 390 range, hits for 30,000+ every 2.23 seconds and a single knockback, and infinitely respawning support trios arrive on timers — even their money will not fund a constant stream of units.

  • Rich Cat and Sniper the Cat are close to mandatory; a Cat CPU helps replace at least five small meatshields fast enough.
  • Hold off hitting the base until the first Owlbrows are dead — you need all the cash you can bank before Crazed Tank spawns.
  • Anything that cannot outrange it dies in seconds, and its short backswing lets it inch forward every attack; Knockback effects are what actually hold it.
  • Bring extra attackers for the peons — they add DPS and usually stay outside Crazed Tank's range until their targets are gone.
