The introduction to Special/Rare-only restrictions: Li'l Mohawk is weaker than Manic Mohawk, but the Professor A.s outrange nearly everything you're allowed to bring.
- Red Riding Mina is the staple for sniping Prof. A. and the base — her True Form doubles her DPS and piercing range; protect her with cheap 75¢ meatshields.

RED RIDING MINA B Red Riding Mina - Essential for pretty much every lineup, her accessibility compared to other units listed (especially Prisoner) makes her a staple in sniping Prof. A and the enemy base. If one has beaten Stories of Legend, it is very recommended to grab her True Form, as it will double her DPS and increase her piercin 
HANIWA CAT B Haniwa Cat - Very resilient against everything that isn't Prof A, its high health and cheap price makes it a very effective option. Its slow speed means it needs time to catch up, but it also helps make even smaller gaps between meatshields to prevent Li'l Mohawk from pushing even further. 
PRISONER CAT B Prisoner Cat - With his naturally long range combined with piercing range, he is perfect for sniping the Professor As out from behind Li'l Mohawk, helping to remove a lot of difficulty from this stage. 
JAGANDO JR. B Jagando Jr. - Being tailor-made to destroy Traitless enemies, he naturally excels in this stage. He is able to easily keep Li'l Mohawk at bay with his rapid Knockbacks, while his Surges will help destroy Teacher Bear and Professor A. in the back, though bringing another unit to help with Professor A. is still recommend 
THAUMATURGE CAT A Thaumaturge Cat - With a 100% chance to weaken any enemy it hits to 50%, Thaumaturge can prove useful for stalling Li'l Mohawk by reducing its pushing power to half. However, she is very fragile and will die to Professor A very quickly, so make sure to protect her well. 
CLEANERBOT CAT A Cleanerbot Cat - Acts like a temporary base if you don't want the enemies chipping away at your base while you stack LD units, has extremely high health that can last for a long time. 
HITMAN CAT A Hitman Cat: Deals massive damage to Traitless enemies
