1-48 THE BIG BANG
1-48 The Big Bang is the 48th stage of Cosmos Ch.1 — Beyond the Exosphere. Previous stage: 1-47 Black Hole.
Final boss of CotC Ch.1 ONLY (Floating, not Alien). 1.4M HP, 1,000-range Multi-Hit area attack (3×18k). Mystery Mask required to keep him at 100% (otherwise 1,100%). Butterfly Cat and Dancing Flasher exploit his Floating trait.
General GreGory, Le'Solar and Spacefish Jones carry Barriers (up to 40,000 HP) — your hits are absorbed until it's broken.
Le'Solar's 40,000 Barrier needs a guaranteed 100% Barrier Breaker — chance-based units stall and waste your damage window.
The Cat God is Floating. Anti-Floating units take less damage and deal more.
The Cat God reaches 1000 range. Units that out-range it can chip safely without taking hits.
The Cat God has a deep HP pool (1,399,999+ even before stage magnification). Heavy single-target burst shortens the fight.
7 enemy types stack up here. Area attackers hit the whole push at once instead of one unit at a time.
CotC Ch.1 final boss. The Cat God (Floating, 1.4M HP) fires three lightning strikes for ~54k combined damage at 1,000 range. ALL Mystery Mask treasures (43/45/47) required to keep him at 100% — otherwise 1,100%. Endless waves of Starred Alien peons accompany him. Butterfly Cat (Anti-Floating) + Dancing Flasher (Floating + Crit) + Awakened Bahamut chaining is the canonical clear.
The defining Awakened Bahamut showcase stage. The community calls this one 'easy if you're prepared, brutal if you're not' — the difficulty isn't Cat God himself (1.4M HP Floating boss) but the endless Project A peon wave behind him. Universal advice: have all three Mystery Mask treasures (Broton, N77, Black Hole superior) before attempting, or Cat God's stats balloon to 1,100% and the stage becomes mathematically impossible at sane levels. Standard loadout: meatshield stack (Mohawk + Eraser + Manic Mohawk) → Fishman Cat to rush Cat God between peon waves → Awakened Bahamut for burst damage when there's a clear window. Backline: Bahamut Cat (Special) for safe chip + any anti-Floating Uber (Twinstars / Bombercat / Ganglion) to outrange the peon wall. Common failure: forgetting that Spacefish Jones spawns at the 10-minute mark and stops the attrition game. If your clear is dragging past 8 minutes, you've already lost.
The castle you destroy to clear the stage.
