UNCANNY LEGENDS
1 — A New Legend
A New Legend is the 1st sub-chapter of Uncanny Legends · Here Be Dragons →
Uncanny Legends opens with a single stage and a new rulebook: Relic enemies and the Curse effect, which switches off your cats' anti-trait abilities.
The 50th sub-chapter overall and the start of the post-Stories-of-Legend saga. Its one stage, An Ancient Curse, introduces the Relic trait via two enemies: Relic Doge, an extremely buffed Doge variant that can inflict Curse, and Relic Bun Bun, a faster-attacking Relic take on Mecha-Bun with a 100% Curse chance (and, oddly, no Floating trait). Curse is the saga's defining threat — for its duration, a cursed cat's anti-trait abilities simply stop working, which guts lineups built around 'Strong vs' and 'Massive Damage' effects.
The wiki's own framing is the right one: with only Relics on the field, this is a warm-up before Curse gets properly weaponized — but Relics are very, very strong even in a warm-up. Clearing the stage unlocks Mecha-Bun's True Form and the ability to push most cats 10 levels higher with Catseyes. It's also the first sub-chapter that can drop Ammonites for Cat Cannon upgrades, though later sub-chapters farm them far more cheaply.
