1 — The Legend Begins

The gentlest on-ramp into Legend Stages — mostly Empire of Cats re-runs, with three new enemies of which only Doge Dark demands respect.

The easiest sub-chapter in Stories of Legend, built largely from returning Empire of Cats enemies so you can learn the Legend Stages rhythm (higher magnifications, no treasure crutch) without being punished for it.

Three debuts set up threats you'll see for the rest of the saga: Metal Hippoe introduces the Metal gimmick — only 1 damage from anything but Critical hits, though its health is low enough that Critical hitters or cheap spam still drop it; St. Pigge the 2nd is a Pigge with no attack delay and much bigger numbers, still honestly Red; and Doge Dark, the one to take seriously — an incredibly fast Dark rusher who hits hard but is single-target, mediocre-health, and knocked back eight times. The closer, Sleeping Lion, is the classic first wall of Stories of Legend.
